Adam J. Rosenberg
Chief Executive Officer
Adam Rosenberg has worked with Link Medicine since the Company’s founding in March 2005, and has served as Link’s CEO since November 2005. Adam has more than ten years of transactional experience working with life sciences and pharmaceutical companies on complex financings, M&A, licensing and strategic alliances. Adam is also a Principal at Faber Daeufer & Rosenberg PC, a boutique, business law firm focused on representing companies, investors and research institutes in the life sciences. Previously, Adam practiced corporate law, with a focus on representing venture capital funds and startup companies, at leading law firms in Boston, New York and Seattle. Adam was also a Principal with Ovation Capital Partners in New York, where he sourced and evaluated potential investments and also worked closely with early-stage portfolio companies on strategic initiatives and fundraising. Adam received a B.A. from Whittier College, magna cum laude, and a J.D. from The University of Virginia School of Law.
Peter T. Lansbury, Jr. PhD
Chief Scientific Officer
Peter Lansbury founded Link in March 2005. He is currently Director of the Morris K. Udall Research Center of Excellence in Parkinson's Disease at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and part time Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Previous to that position, Peter was Assistant, and then Associate Professor of Chemistry at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received his A. B. in Chemistry from Princeton University in 1980 and his PhD in Organic Chemistry from Harvard University in 1985. He was also one of the founders of the Harvard Center for Neurodegeneration and Repair. Peter and his research group have authored numerous papers in the area of protein aggregation as it relates to neurodegeneration. In addition, his work has been featured in articles in the New York Times, Forbes, and Newsweek. His laboratory was the first to over express alpha-synuclein and to characterize its structural properties. He was awarded a Presidential Young investigator Award by the National Science Foundation and a Zenith Fellow award from the Alzheimer's Association and is a member of the board of directors of the Parkinson's Action Network.
Scott L. Young
Chief Operating Officer
Scott Young joined Link in December 2006 as COO. Prior to joining Link, Scott served as Chief Operating Officer for OXiGENE, Inc., a publicly-traded oncology therapeutics development company. His tenure at OXiGENE began in 1997, assuming roles of increasing responsibility culminating in the COO position in early 2003 and helping to raise more than $80 million over several rounds of financing. He was instrumental in taking the company’s lead technology in cancer and applying it to ophthalmic indications involving abnormal vascular growth. Previously, Scott held positions in clinical/regulatory affairs, GMP manufacturing operations and process development at Genzyme Corporation and RepliGen Corporation. In his early career he was a laboratory research and development scientist at Genetics Institute (now part of Wyeth) and the University of Massachusetts. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
David Neafus
Chief Financial Officer
David Neafus has served as our CFO since Link’s founding in March 2005. Over the previous twelve years, Dave operated his own consulting firm providing executive services, specializing in interim executive management, IPO’s, turnarounds, strategic analysis, and mergers and acquisitions. Previous clients include GlycoFi, where as CFO David helped the Company complete its $400 Million acquisition by Merck, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc. where as Vice President of Finance David led the company to a successful IPO, Infinity Pharmaceuticals where David served as Vice President Finance and Administration and Millennium Pharmaceuticals where he served as Corporate Controller. Prior to running his own consulting firm, David was an auditor at KPMG for 4 ½ years. Mr. Neafus received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota, and his MBA from Bentley College. He is also a certified public accountant.
Mark E. Duggan, Ph.D.
Vice President of Chemistry
Dr. Duggan has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Prior to joining Link Medicine, Mark was an Executive Director at Amgen in Cambridge, MA and Head of the Medicinal Chemistry Department. Before that he spent 18 years at Merck & Co. where he rose to the level of Senior Director in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry. At Merck, Mark successfully led programs in the areas of bone biology, endocrinology and neuroscience, was a co-inventor of Aggrastat®, and served as co-chair of an early development team. Mark has authored over 50 publications and is an inventor on 52 patents. He holds a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from The Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from University of Pennsylvania under the tutelage of Professor K.C. Nicolaou.
