Link Medicine aims to devise novel ways to reduce protein aggregation before it occurs, and/or to reduce existing, toxic aggregates. Link Medicine's ultimate vision is to dramatically postpone or avoid altogether the onset, severity and progression of multiple neurodegenerative diseases.

Link's innovative approaches target a common feature of these disparate disorders - the production in nerve cells of incorrectly folded, aggregated and ultimately neurotoxic proteins. Link's lead compound, LNK-754, is an orally bioavailable small molecule that has shown significant efficacy in multiple pre-clinical models of neurodegenerative disease. Initial clinical testing of LNK-754 indicates a good safety profile in the expected therapeutic dose range.
